Originally composed by Steven Gerber for solo bassoon, this work is based on the first four notes of Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring). Transcriptions by Argentinian composer Marisol Gentile for clarinet, alto saxophone and baritone saxophone are also available from the publisher.
